A wine lover and change-maker, Queena Wong is a trailblazing female wine collector helping to build a new world of wine for all. She advocates for conscious inclusion and equal opportunity, ensuring that every person can confidently pursue wine as a passion, either as a consumer or as a career. Her presence is profound in reshaping the landscape of wine, making it an attractive and welcoming industry for the next generation.
Queena is a unique wine persona. Illustrating her all-encompassing passion for wine, she dedicates her time as a champion for both women and wine across multiple facets of the industry. Apart from being a rare female wine collector and leader of Curious Vines, she has extensive knowledge through the vertical of the premium wine market and strong connectivity across the broader scope of hospitality as a promoter of both wine and the sommelier profession.

Accolades
Queena Wong’s journey in the wine industry is marked by several notable achievements. Recognised as No. 2 in the Drinks Retailing Top 100 Most Influential People in Drinks (UK) and CODE Hospitality’s Connector of the Year, her personal passion for wine awarded her the title of Dame Chevalier de L’Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne and membership to La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Bourgogne).
Curious Vines PROOF Insight UK Women in Wine Survey
In 2023, Queena spearheaded the first UK Women in Wine Survey with market research agency PROOF Insight, a groundbreaking initiative highlighting the experiences and challenges of women in the industry. The results called to PROTECT, RETAIN and UPLIFT women working in wine with 92% of respondents agreeing that the culture of wine was male-dominated and nearly half had considered leaving the industry due to challenges faced.
Through Curious Vines Queena also hosts preparation sessions for the UK Sommelier of the Year competition to increase the visible representation of talented women in the profession.

A food lover well before becoming a wine lover, Queena’s strong presence in the hospitality arena is felt and seen as she advocates respect for, and appreciation of the hospitality industry, with a core aim to celebrate the skill of the sommelier profession.
Her deep understanding of the hospitality and wine sectors has secured her place as a respected judge for the Sommelier Edit Top 100 Sommelier Awards, CODE Hospitality Happiest Places to Work and Star Wine List of the Year UK.
